Learn all the tricks you can perform with field code (Microsoft Word 2000/2002/v. X/2003)

Typing fields into your document manually is quite a test of patience—-getting all of the spacing and terminology right is no easy task. Also, typing field code limits you to the code you already know. Instead, select Insert | Field to experiment with your fields of choice in the Field dialog box. After making selections, look behind the scenes and see how Word specifies your selections using switches.
