Recovering corrupt images in QuarkXPress (5/6)

To rectify a corrupt image, hold down the [command] key ([Ctrl] key in Windows) as you open the original document via the File menu. This forces QuarkXPress to reimport the graphics you placed in the document using the Get Picture command. It also re-creates their previews, which can become corrupt.
