Tinted images are a great addition to your layouts, but sometimes you don't get the tint right on the first try. It's a drag going back and forth from Photoshop to QuarkXpress to adjust and re-import the image, and you don't have to! Instead, adjust the tint right in QuarkXPress. You can adjust the overall tint setting of a selected channel, such as a spot ink channel in a Photoshop duotone, using the PSD Import XTension.
To adjust the tint of a PSD in QuarkXPress:
- Display the Channels pane of the PSD Import palette (Window > Show PSD Import).
- Click on the spot color channel to highlight it.
- Select Channel Options from the palette menu (the same as you would when using Photoshop).
- Adjust the Shade percentage. The default is 100%.
- Click OK.
