Removing automatic hyperlinks in FrontPage

When you type an email or Web address in FrontPage, the program automatically creates a hyperlink to that address. Getting rid of that hyperlink if you don't want it is harder than it should be.

In FrontPage 2000, right-click the link and choose Hyperlink Properties to open the Edit Hyperlink Properties dialog box; delete the contents of the URL text box and click OK. In FrontPage 2002, access the Edit Hyperlink Properties dialog box as before, click Remove Hyperlink and click OK.

In either version of the program, you can also remove hyperlinks as you type. As soon as FrontPage creates the link (when you press the spacebar after an email address, for example), press [Ctrl]Z or choose Undo Edit Hyperlink from the Edit menu.
