Enhancing your Joomla site by putting in more code

One of the biggest reasons why Joomla has become a widely used content management system is the ease in using it while building a dynamic website. Users with no experience in website programming can easily learn and enjoy Joomla.

Unlike any other website building tools, there are no codes displayed in Joomla Control Panel that can possibly confuse you. However, if you are into coding and you want to include specific CSS/HTML, or Javascript anywhere in your site, this is how to implement it:
  1. You need to download Joomla HTML Module.(http://www.fijiwebdesign.com/products/joomla-html-module.html) This version works both on Joomla 1.0 and 1.5.
  2. Go to Joomla Administrator > Extensions > Install.
  3. When the installation is complete, go to Extension > Module Manager.
  4. Select HTML Module and click Edit.
  5. You can add your codes inside the PHP, HTML, JS, CSS editor box. Then click Save.
  6. Create a menu item to display the module.
Joomla HTML Module is one of the essential modules of a Joomla site. It gives you a way to post codes for your Google Adsense, Flickr, Chat box, or any codes you would like to include in your site.
