Demystifying AirPort Express’ Ethernet port

As you know, AirPort Express has only one Ethernet port. This port can act as a WAN port or a LAN port, but not both simultaneously. When you use AirPort Express as a router, it acts as a WAN port, but when you use AirPort Express as either a Relay or Remote base station in a Wireless Distribution System (WDS), it acts as a LAN port.
