Configure your browser to remind you when you neglect to specify site colors

Do you tend to forget to specify background and hyperlink colors on your sites? A good way to prevent this problem is to change the default colors your browser uses. As soon as your home page loads with a hot-pink background, you’ll quickly remember what you forgot to do!

To change colors in Internet Explorer:

  1. Choose Tools | Internet Options.
  2. Switch to the General tab in the Internet Options dialog box and click the Colors button.
  3. In the Colors dialog box, deselect the Use Windows Colors check box.
  4. Replace the standard text, background, and link colors with garish alternatives.
To change colors in Mozilla Firefox:
  1. Choose Tools | Options.
  2. Click the General button in the left pane.
  3. Click Fonts & Colors.
  4. In the Fonts & Colors dialog box, deselect the Use System Colors check box.
  5. Replace the standard colors with garish alternatives.
